Johnny Cardoso to join Atlético Madrid from Betis

United States national team holding midfielder Johnny Cardoso is set to become the latest addition to the Rojiblancos' squad.

Details: According to Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, the 23-year-old Betis and USMNT defensive midfielder is on the verge of completing a move to Atlético Madrid.

The reported transfer fee is set at €30 million, including bonuses.

Last season, the young American featured in 46 matches, netting 4 goals and providing one assist. As per Transfermarkt, Cardoso's market value is no less than €20 million.

Johnny Cardoso joined Betis in 2024, and his current contract with the club runs until 2030.
