Chelsea have found their new striker, and it's the young English forward Liam Delap. It appears that Victor Osimhen's path to the London club is now closed.
Details: According to John Obi Mikel—the agent of the Nigerian forward and former Chelsea player—there's no reason to expect Osimhen to join the Blues at this moment. Chelsea have put their faith in Liam Delap.
Quote: "I don't think Chelsea will sign Victor Osimhen now. We've gone in a different direction. We've signed Delap. I really hope he will strengthen the team," Obi Mikel stated.
Earlier reports indicated the Blues paid £30 million for Delap, with £20 million going to Ipswich immediately. The Tractor Boys will also receive a percentage of any future sale.
Reminder: Chelsea failed to reach an agreement with Jadon Sancho and will not buy him from Manchester United—the winger will return to the English club.
