“Job done!”. Arteta has spoken out about Arsenal successful start to the season
Arsenal hosted Wolverhampton at home in the first round of the Premier League, securing a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was pleased with his team’s performance in the season opener.
"What I saw was the team's readiness. Whether we achieve [winning the title] or not, we have to show it every day with our play and the results we achieve.
There’s always uncertainty in the first game about how you’ll respond, especially against a tough opponent. We scored two goals, kept a clean sheet. The job is done; we scored two goals, kept a clean sheet, and won.
You have to win in any context. There will be better days or worse days. The opponent will try to make you play a certain way. Today we won convincingly," Arteta told Sky Sports.
In the next round, Arsenal faces a challenging away match against Aston Villa on August 24.
