João Neves agrees new contract with PSG
Paris Saint-Germain is set to extend João Neves' contract, recognizing his rapid development this season. According to Le Parisien, the 21-year-old midfielder will put pen to paper on a new deal running until 2030.
Neves made the move to Paris from Benfica for €65 million, and in just one season, his market value has virtually doubled. As per the January rankings from the CIES Football Observatory, the Portuguese star is now valued at €130 million, placing him eighth among the world’s most expensive players and first among central midfielders.

Last season, Neves established himself as a key figure in PSG’s midfield. Notably, in the Champions League final starting lineup, he had the lowest salary among all the regular starters. The new contract addresses this imbalance—his financial terms now reflect his role and level of performance.
