Jermall Charlo set to return to the ring on May 31
The undefeated former middleweight champion Jermall Charlo is set to return to the ring soon.
Details. Charlo is expected to step back into the ring in a super middleweight bout on May 31 at a Premier Boxing Champions event in Las Vegas, reports BoxingScene, citing a source involved in the negotiations.
Charlo's opponent and the fight card have yet to be determined, although earlier this week BoxingScene reported that Charlo's opponent and former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant is expected to headline the card in a separate bout.
Reminder. The 34-year-old Charlo hasn't fought since his unanimous decision victory over Jose Benavidez Jr. on November 25, 2023, in Las Vegas.
He was stripped of his WBC middleweight title in May, a day after being arrested in Pearland, Texas, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and fleeing the scene of an accident.
It was previously reported that Oleksandr Usyk may face Jake Paul.
