Planning a fight with Jake Paul? A friend of Oleksandr Usyk reveals possible future plans for the boxer
A friend and member of Oleksandr Usyk's coaching team, Serhiy Lapin, shared surprising news about the boxer's possible future plans. In an interview for dazn.com, he mentioned that the Ukrainian might start participating in MMA.
"Usyk has always aimed to fight only the best. He was interested in creating an enduring legacy in the big world of boxing. But in the future, as he further solidifies his position as a great master, other opportunities will open up for him. Perhaps it would be worth stepping into the cage with Jake Paul under MMA rules. It would be great if you could profit from it. Besides, we never say never when it comes to fighting the dangerous Alex Pereira," Lapin stated.
Lapin also admitted that Usyk's team is ready to collaborate with UFC president Dana White. He noted that if Dana moves into boxing, it could open doors to more fights between boxers and current UFC stars.
Let's not forget that Oleksandr Usyk is soon scheduled to fight Joseph Parker. There are also rumors of a possible IBF title clash with Daniel Dubois this summer.
