Jean Onana’s Next Chapter: A New Adventure in Serie A

Jean Onana is about to complete his transfer to Genoa, which will present new professional challenge. Despite FC Nantes' interest, the Cameroonian midfielder, who’s now with Besiktas, has chosen Serie A.

Onana’s scheduled to sign his contract on Thursday after arriving in Genoa today for his medical. Because the agreement’s set up as a loan with buyout option, Genoa can evaluate his influence before making long term commitment.

The head coach of Genoa Patrick Vieira has been eager to bolster his midfield. He views Onana acrucial acquisition for the second half of the season, as the team has won 4 games, drawn 4, and lost 2 since his appointment.

Onana has fought for playing time at Besiktas after previously playing for Lille, Bordeaux and Marseille. He now wants to resume his international career with Cameroon and establish himself in one of Europe's top leagues.
