Jayden Adams' impressive displays for Mamelodi Sundowns lately suggests he is making up for lost time and hoping to return to the national team

Jayden Adams is making up for the lost time.

The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder is dishing out the best displays for Miguel Cardoso’s troops week in and week out.

It does look like the player is looking at making a return to the national team given that for the greater part of the first round in the Betway Premiership, he was a bit part player for Sundowns.

And for that he lost his place in the national team as he missed out on being part of Hugo Broos’ Bafana Bafana squad to the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

But now Adams has found a new lease as he has been one of the best players for Sundowns in their pursuit to defend the Betway Premiership.

The former Stellenbosch FC midfielder reveals what helped his game change for the better.

“It was a very difficult ordeal for me,” said Adams. “Yeah, I got a break and focused on myself, and when I came back, I did my best. I got my opportunity, and I took it with both hands.”

He will be expected to continue his impressive form when Sundowns host Golden Arrows tomorrow evening at Loftus Versveld.

The game starts at 7.30pm.
