A historic moment unfolded at the 2024 Olympics on Friday, August 9, as the first set of medals in breaking was awarded among B-Girls.

Japan's Ami clinched the gold medal, defeating Lithuania's Nicka with a score of 3-0 in the final. This event will be remembered in history as Ami claimed the first-ever gold in breaking at the Olympic Games, with this sport making its debut at the Paris Games.

The bronze medal went to Liu Qingyi of China, who triumphed over India's representative from the Netherlands in the final match.

We would like to remind you that Nafissatou Thiam became a three-time Olympic champion in the heptathlon.
