Jamie Carragher has described Trent Alexander-Arnold's statement that he would prefer to win the Ballon d'Or over the World Cup or another Champions League title as strange. The Liverpool legend believes this could be a sign that the Reds' defender is planning a move to Real Madrid at the end of his contract.
Quote. “He chose the Ballon d'Or, which I think is a bit strange or even absurd. I would always choose the World Cup or the Champions League; it's a team game, but he has massive ambitions, and why not?
You only get one career. But the first thing that came to my mind when I read that interview is that he seems to be heading to Real.”

Reminder. Trent Alexander-Arnold's contract expires in the summer of 2025, and the club has not yet managed to agree on an extension with the English player. Real Madrid is closely monitoring the situation and wants to acquire the star Liverpool defender for free.
