Jamal Musiala sidelined for eight weeks due to hamstring injury
Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala will miss the next eight weeks after sustaining an injury in Friday's match against Augsburg, as reported by Sky Germany.
The player scored a goal to level the match, but was substituted in the 54th minute due to pain in the back of his thigh. A medical examination confirmed a hamstring tear, and Musiala will now miss the remainder of the Bundesliga season.
He hopes to recover in time for the Champions League final, should Bayern reach it, as well as for the final stages of the Nations League in June.
This marks the fourth significant loss for Bayern in recent weeks. Previously, Alphonso Davies (ligament tear), Dayot Upamecano (knee injury), and Hiroki Ito (foot injury) all suffered injuries ruling them out for the rest of the season.
With so many players sidelined, Bayern faces a challenging test in the remaining matches of the season.
