Jake Paul has commenced shedding weight ahead of his bout with Mike Tyson

The boxer and vlogger Jake Paul has initiated the process of shedding weight ahead of his bout with the legendary Mike Tyson.

"No more heavyweight meals before facing Mike Tyson in the coming weeks. Goodbye pizza. Back down to 99 kg. It was fun being chubby. I'll miss you, chubby Jake, you were so cute and fluffy," Paul wrote on his X social media page.

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are set to engage in a boxing match on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, USA, in the main event of the card, which will be broadcasted on Netflix. It was previously reported that the bout would be sanctioned as professional.

This will be the first fight for "Iron Mike" since 2020 - back then, he squared off against Roy Jones Jr. It was an exhibition match that ended in a draw and was not officially recorded in the boxers' records.

Recently, "Iron Mike" felt unwell during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. The legendary boxer required medical assistance.
