After just a year and a half in Saudi Arabia, experienced midfielder Seko Fofana is returning to France.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, Fofana is leaving Al-Nassr to join Rennes.
Rennes will pay €20 million for the 29-year-old Ivorian. He is set to sign a 3.5-year contract with the club.
Fofana is expected to arrive in France today for his medical and to finalize the deal.
Fofana joined Al-Nassr from Lens in the summer of 2023 for €25 million but had been playing on loan at Al-Ettifaq since the start of last year.
Reminder: In November, renowned Argentine coach Jorge Sampaoli took charge of Rennes. The club currently sits in 12th place in Ligue 1 after 15 rounds.
