"It's time to resolve this". EPL chief executive has spoken out about the case against Man City
Premier League CEO Richard Masters has expressed his thoughts on the ongoing legal case against Manchester City, which is accused of 115 breaches of financial fair play rules.
"It's time to resolve this... It's been going on for several years, and in my opinion, it's clear that it needs to be addressed, and we need answers," Masters told the BBC.
It was recently reported that hearings on Manchester City's case will begin in September, with a final verdict expected early next year.
If all 115 violations by Manchester City are confirmed, the club could face severe consequences, including the potential stripping of Premier League titles, or in the worst-case scenario, relegation to the Championship.
Last season, Everton and Nottingham Forest were penalized by the Premier League for financial fair play violations, with both clubs receiving point deductions.
However, while Everton and Nottingham Forest admitted their guilt, Manchester City continues to deny any wrongdoing.
