It's settled! Napoli have chosen their candidates to replace Antonio Conte

Napoli have both a tried-and-true option and a rather unexpected one in mind.

Details: According to renowned and reputable journalist and insider Nicolò Schira on his social media page X, the management of Italian side Napoli have picked Maurizio Sarri and Enzo Maresca as the leading candidates to succeed current head coach Antonio Conte.

It is reported that although Napoli’s board has complete faith in and trust for Conte, the final decision will rest with the coach himself. If he chooses to leave Naples, the club will immediately have replacement options at the ready.

Sarri previously managed Napoli from 2015 to 2018, while for Maresca, this would be a unique new challenge.

For now, however, Conte’s contract with Napoli still runs for another year, so Antonio is in no rush to make a final decision.
