London club Chelsea and head coach Enzo Maresca have reached an agreement to end their collaboration with immediate effect. The Italian manager's tenure at the club has come to an end.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, tension within the club had been building over the past 24–48 hours, ultimately leading to the sides parting ways. An official statement from Chelsea is expected soon.
The Chelsea board will now actively pursue the appointment of a new head coach. One of the leading candidates to replace Maresca is Strasbourg's Liam Rosenior.
It is worth noting that under Maresca's leadership, Chelsea won the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Reminder: Ajax are seriously considering the return of Chelsea defender Jorrel Hato.
