Ajax have made Jorrel Hato a top priority for the upcoming transfer window.
Details: According to Dutch journalist Mike Verweij, Ajax are closely monitoring Hato's situation and do not rule out the possibility of bringing him back on a temporary basis. However, it remains unclear whether Chelsea are ready to consider loaning out the young defender at this stage.
The 19-year-old defender, who moved from the Amsterdam club to Chelsea last summer for a fee exceeding €44 million, has yet to secure a regular place in the London side's starting lineup.
In addition to Hato, the Amsterdam club are also exploring the possibility of signing Burnley defender Quilindschy Hartman on a six-month loan. The 24-year-old made it clear during the Christmas holidays that he is open to a temporary move to Amsterdam, despite his past at Feyenoord.
This season, Hato has featured in just nine matches for the Londoners, registering a single assist — in the Carabao Cup tie against Wolverhampton.
Reminder: Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca explained that he substituted Marc Cucurella in the match against Aston Villa due to hamstring problems.
