It's official! Liam Rosenior named new Chelsea head coach
A huge challenge awaits the 41-year-old manager.
Details: Today, Chelsea's official page on social network X announced that 41-year-old English specialist Liam Rosenior has officially taken over as the team's head coach.
It is reported that the contract between Chelsea and Rosenior runs until 2032.
The coach himself expressed his excitement about the opportunity, admitting he still can't believe it's real:
"My job is to preserve this identity and build a team that reflects these values in every match, so we keep winning trophies. This role means so much to me, and I want to thank everyone involved for the opportunity and the trust in me. I'll do everything I can to bring this club the success it deserves.
I'm excited to work with this incredibly talented group of players and staff, to forge strong bonds on and off the pitch, and to create an atmosphere where everyone feels united with one goal.
I want our fans to be proud of who we are and what we represent in every match. They are the soul of this huge, historic, and magnificent football club.
I can't wait to meet all of you. I can't wait to get started." Rosenior said after his appointment.
Previously, Rosenior managed Strasbourg, where he took charge in 2024 and led the team to European competition for the first time in 19 years.
Rosenior also has experience in England: from 2022 to 2024, he was in charge of Hull City.
