A few days ago, Enzo Maresca stepped down as the head coach of London’s Chelsea, a move that has sparked concern among some players.
According to The Athletic, the squad maintained a positive atmosphere, and any possible disagreements between Maresca and the club’s management did not affect the dressing room. Nevertheless, a number of players fear that the coach’s exit could return the club to a period of uncertainty and may negatively impact the team’s chemistry.
It should be noted that the Italian specialist had led the team since the summer of 2024. During his tenure, he guided the Blues to victory in the Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup. The leading candidate to fill the vacant position is currently Liam Rosenior from French side Strasbourg.
