The match against Chelsea sidelined two Manchester City defenders at once.

Details: As reported by Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, the 28-year-old Portuguese centre-back Rúben Dias will be out for approximately 6 weeks with a hamstring injury.

Rúben Dias was substituted in the 81st minute of the match against Chelsea due to discomfort, and after a series of examinations today, it became clear that the Portuguese defender had suffered a fairly serious injury.

In the same match, another City centre-back—Croatian Josko Gvardiol—was also forced off. He has been diagnosed with a tibial fracture and will be sidelined for about 4 to 5 weeks.

This season, Rúben Dias has played 25 matches for Manchester City, scoring 2 goals. His current contract with Manchester City runs until 2029.
