It's official! Abdoul Koné joins Leipzig

A promising transfer for Leipzig has been officially completed.

Details: Today, the German club Leipzig announced on their official X page that 20-year-old French center-back Abdoul Koné has officially joined the "Bulls" from Reims.

It is reported that the transfer fee amounted to 16 million euros, with a contract signed until 2031. However, despite the official transfer, Koné will remain at Reims on loan until the end of the season.

This season, Abdoul Koné has played 18 matches for Reims, who compete in France's Ligue 2, scoring once and providing one assist. Koné is also capable of playing as a wide defender.

According to Transfermarkt, Abdoul Koné's market value is estimated at 5 million euros.
