Guardiola is currently struggling on two fronts—on the pitch, City has been enduring a period of inconsistency, while off the pitch, the Spanish coach is reportedly dealing with family problems that may be affecting his work.
"It’s not easy to deal with what Pep has to deal with outside of football. I went through that when I went to Barcelona. It's not easy to deal with stuff like that, when you're not well mentally. You can see that he's not his usual self," Henry said.
The Frenchman expressed sympathy for Guardiola, relating to his situation, as Henry also experienced a divorce from Claire Merry in 2007, just before his transfer from Arsenal to Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Man City barely secured a place in the Champions League knockout stage and is set to face Real Madrid in the next round. In the Premier League, Guardiola’s team currently trails Liverpool by 15 points, adding further pressure to his already challenging season.
