The situation with Ronald Araújo is extremely complicated for Barcelona.

Details: According to COPE, 26-year-old Uruguayan defender Ronald Araújo is facing such severe psychological issues that the club has no idea whether the player will ever be able to take the field in a Barcelona shirt again.

Although the club is fully supporting Araújo, the management has already begun searching for another central defender who could join on loan in January.

Journalist Juanma Castaño, in turn, stated:

"This is more serious than we think. Araújo's situation is very serious, and we'll see if he ever plays for FC Barcelona again. It's a dangerous situation," he warned.

Barcelona is providing full support to Araújo after he suffered several panic attacks, and the club is in no way putting pressure on him—making it clear that his mental and emotional recovery is the top priority right now.

This season, Araújo has played 15 matches for Barça, scoring 2 goals. His contract with the Blaugrana runs until 2031, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at 35 million euros.
