Manchester City's head coach, Pep Guardiola, commented on the UEFA Champions League quarter-final draw during a press conference.

The Spanish tactician remarked that facing Real Madrid seems to have become a tradition. The Citizens and the Whites have crossed paths in the Champions League knockout stages for the third consecutive year.

"It feels like a tradition, playing against the kings of the competition for three years in a row. Hopefully, we'll be in good shape. The second leg at home, it matters," shared Guardiola.

Recalling the 2021/22 season, the teams clashed in the semi-finals, with Real edging past City with an aggregate score of 6-5. In the following season, they met again in the semi-finals, with City prevailing over the Madrid side with an aggregate score of 5-1.

The UEFA Champions League quarter-final matches are scheduled for April 9-10 and 16-17. Additionally, you can find all the pairings and the knockout stage bracket.
