"It's just a shock!": Christian Horner delivers farewell speech

Today, a video surfaced from a closed Red Bull team meeting.

Details: The RBR Daily page published a video from a Red Bull team gathering, where former team principal Christian Horner delivered an emotional farewell address to all the team members.

"Red Bull informed me that I will no longer be involved in the team’s operations. I will remain an employee of the company, but day-to-day management will be handed over to someone else. Of course, this came as a shock to me, but over the last 12 hours, I’ve had time to process it. I wanted to personally deliver this news to you and thank every single team member who has given so much over the 20 and a half years I’ve been here.

When I arrived 20 years ago, I joined the team not knowing what to expect, but I was welcomed right away. From two outdated buildings, we began building what has now become a true powerhouse in Formula 1. Watching this team work and being a part of it has been the greatest privilege of my life," Horner concluded.

A farewell letter was also published on Horner’s Instagram page, where he once again thanked the fans and reminisced about the team’s past achievements:
