It's been revealed who won the Premier League's best young player award

One of Manchester City's brightest academy products has added another prestigious award to his breakthrough season.

Details: Manchester City have officially confirmed that 21-year-old Nico O'Reilly has been voted the PFA Young Player of the Year following an excellent 2025/26 campaign. The award is particularly significant as the winner is determined by votes from fellow professional footballers.

O'Reilly established himself as one of Manchester City's most important players during the campaign. According to the club's official website, the academy graduate made 53 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing six assists.

The Englishman also demonstrated impressive versatility. Having developed primarily as a midfielder in City's academy, he successfully adapted to the left-back role at senior level while continuing to feature in his more familiar position when required.

It is worth noting that O'Reilly became only the fourth Manchester City player to win the PFA Young Player of the Year award. Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden had previously received the prize, with Foden winning it twice. O'Reilly was also voted Manchester City's Etihad Player of the Season after his superb 2025/26 campaign.
