“It's a mad house!”. Manchester United legend blasted Chelsea's transfer policy
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has criticized Chelsea's transfer policy.
According to the former England defender, many of the new arrivals at Chelsea do not meet the club's level.
"It seems like a bit of a mad house over there. Imagine you're a player in that dressing room. I'd wake up every morning and immediately check my phone to see who we've signed today.
They sign a new player almost every other day. I think they've brought in 36 players with this owner. They still want two more. Over a billion pounds have been spent. I want to see what happens in the next 18 months, two years. I want to fast-forward to that point. Because I don't know where this is going to lead. If they know, then they are geniuses.
I look at some of these guys, and there's no chance they would make it into the best Chelsea teams of recent years. Half of them wouldn’t even make the bench for the best Chelsea teams," Ferdinand told Sky Sports.
As a reminder, Chelsea made significant purchases during the summer transfer window, which has swollen their already large squad. However, at Stamford Bridge, they know what they are doing and will now focus on trimming the squad.
