Athletes from Italy continue to shine at the 2024 Paris Olympics, having already secured 30 medals: 10 gold, 11 silver, and 9 bronze.

Notably, Italian athletes claimed three medals today, setting a national record. The last time Italy went a full Olympic day without a medal was on the 12th day of competition at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games.

In total, Italy has now won at least one medal on 33 consecutive Olympic days.

For context, the world record for consecutive Olympic days with a medal belongs to the United States, whose athletes won medals on 141 consecutive competition days – from July 29, 1984, to August 21, 2016.

Today, the Italians claimed gold in sailing, silver in canoe sprint (four-man team), and bronze in the 10km open water swimming.
