The former world champion in the welterweight division, Amir Khan, has identified his favorite in the upcoming clash for the undisputed champion title between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
In his opinion, the Gypsy King will secure a convincing victory and claim the belts from the Ukrainian fighter.
“I think Usyk has more confidence after seeing that last fight Tyson had against Ngannou, but, to be honest, he has that style where he presents a problem to proper boxers. He’s very unorthodox.
When it comes to it though I feel that Fury is just one step ahead of every fighter. His size makes a massive difference and I think going into that fight it will be a walk in the park for him. I don’t think he will knock Usyk out but I think it will be a good clean points win by five or six rounds.”, - quotes KhanBoxing Social.
As a reminder, the bout for the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world is set to take place on February 17th in Saudi Arabia. The stakes will involve the IBF, WBA, WBO, and IBO belts, currently held by Usyk, along with the WBC title held by the British boxer Fury.
In his last fight, Fury had a tough victory over Francis Ngannou. Earlier, renowned promoter Eddie Hearn mentioned that a rematch between Fury and Ngannou is nearly finalized.
Usyk, in August 2023, defeated Britain's Daniel Dubois, successfully defending his titles.
