Renowned promoter Eddie Hearn, representing Anthony Joshua, believes that the rematch between Fury and Ngannou is nearly finalized, as reported by Boxing Scene citing MMA Hour.

Hearn revealed that his team reached out to representatives of Francis Ngannou to arrange a bout with Anthony Joshua. However, they did not receive any responses. Therefore, according to the promoter, the Fury vs. Ngannou rematch is almost agreed upon and will take place after Tyson's bout against Usyk. Ngannou feels that after their first fight, he can defeat Fury, but it makes no sense for him to face boxers who are not stars.

"He can actually lose to anyone in the top 50 in heavyweight, so he wants to make money. There are really only three fights that are at his level, he wants a fight with Fury, Joshua, or Deontay Wilder," said Hearn.

Hence, Hearn speculates that Ngannou will compete in the PFL or elsewhere in spring-summer 2024, and then face Tyson Fury at the end of the year.

Recall that Fury defeated Ngannou by a split decision at the end of October. On February 17, Tyson will face Oleksandr Usyk, and on December 23, Anthony Joshua will meet Otto Wallin in Saudi Arabia.
