“It was madness.” Ferdinand reveals details of recent alarming incident

Before the second leg of the Europa League semi-final between Manchester United and Athletic Bilbao, the internet was flooded with alarming photos of Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand on a hospital bed. The former defender himself has now explained what happened.
Details: According to Ferdinand, he caught a stomach bug that landed him in the hospital.
Quote: "I had a rabid virus. I thought at some point the lights would go out, I really thought it would happen. I thought I was minutes away from blacking out, seriously. I was at home, lying in my bed like this [pained expression] and I couldn't even open my eyes.
Then I got a headache... I never get migraines or anything like that, so I had no idea what it was. It felt like my head was trapped in a vice, and my eyes were about to pop out. Then I started feeling sick, threw up in the bathroom, went back to bed, and the dizziness hit. I was clutching the sheets, not even sure where I was. It was madness.

I had to go to the hospital, and the doctor even asked me, 'Do you need an ambulance?' That's when it hit me. He said they were going to scan my brain. I thought it was a virus, the flu or something like that, so when he mentioned a brain scan and an ambulance, the panic was off the charts.
I ended up staying in the hospital for several days. I couldn't even enjoy the hospital food. Normally, soup and ice cream do wonders," Ferdinand shared on his podcast.
