Manchester United have endured a disappointing Premier League campaign this season, but the club is banking on a dramatic turnaround in the next campaign.

Details: According to the Manchester Evening News, the United hierarchy has already set a clear target for head coach Rúben Amorim ahead of the upcoming season.

The Red Devils' bosses expect the team to secure a top-six finish next term, which would guarantee at least Europa League football. The club acknowledges that breaking into the top four will be an extremely tough challenge.

This objective will be set for the coaching staff regardless of whether the team qualifies for the Champions League.

With two matches remaining in the Premier League season, Manchester United currently sit just 16th in the table. However, Rúben Amorim's side could still clinch a Champions League berth if they defeat Tottenham in the Europa League final.

Reminder: Earlier today, it was reported that Ipswich forward Liam Delap is leaning towards a move to Manchester United.
