The European Championship 2024 is over for Juventus and Serbia winger Filip Kostic, Calciomercato reports.

The injury suffered by Kostic during Serbia's lost opening Group D match against England was serious.

The Juventus winger left the pitch in tears in the first half of the match, but today's clinical tests revealed a much more serious problem than originally expected.

While it was initially thought that the problem could only be of a muscular nature, today's tests actually revealed a knee injury.

It usually takes at least 3-4 weeks to fix this type of injury, and depending on the severity of the ligament injury, the timeline can also be extended. Consequently, for the Serbian winger, the 2024 European Championship can already be considered complete.

In the 2nd round of Group "D" Serbia will play against Slovenia on June 20.
