It is known when Barcelona are expected to decide on Xavi's successor

A month and a half ago, Barcelona head coach Xavi announced his departure from the Catalan team at the end of the season. After that, all the efforts of the Blaugranas bosses have been thrown into the search for a new head coach, but Deco's time is limited.

According to Diario Sport, the deadline to decide on a successor to Xavi is the end of March and during the break for the national team matches the club will hold intensive meetings with potential employees.

Barcelona are reportedly leaning towards going the German route with Julian Nagelsmann rather than Thomas Tuchel or Hans-Dieter Flick, who were reportedly Joan Laporta's favourites. But, the final decision will be up to the club president.

It is worth recalling that it was previously reported that Nagelsmann is being considered for Borussia Dortmund, who is a creation of the club's chief executive Hans-Joachim Wacke.
