Manchester City's head coach, Pep Guardiola, commented on the championship race in England.

During the post-match press conference, the Spanish coach emphasized the importance of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season above all else.

"They have more points than us, so they are the favorites, but it's crucial for us to secure a spot in the Champions League. We are close to achieving that, and participation in this tournament is significant for many reasons. The victory over Villa is a huge step towards the Champions League," stated Pep Guardiola.

It's worth noting that thanks to Phil Foden's hat-trick, Manchester City avenged their previous loss to Aston Villa in the first leg and emerged victorious with a scoreline of 4-1. Guardiola's team amassed 67 points after 30 Premier League matches and currently occupies the third position in the league table.

They still trail Arsenal by one point and await the outcome of Liverpool's match tomorrow.
