"It hurts me what happened." Lewandowski reveals behind-the-scenes details of his exit from the Polish national team

Probierz simply called and told Robert as a fait accompli, and just minutes after their conversation, an official announcement was released. The forward emphasized that a face-to-face discussion would not have provoked such a reaction from him.

For years, I have always given everything I have for the national team. It has always been the most important thing to me. But at the same time, it hurts me what happened. It's not even about the decision itself, but the way it was communicated to me," Lewandowski told WP Sportowe Fakty.
