Chelsea recently parted ways with head coach Liam Rosenior, with McFarlane stepping in as interim manager. He has now revealed whether the two spoke after the change.
Details: Speaking at a press conference, the Chelsea boss confirmed that they did have a conversation the day after the dismissal.
Quote: "I had a conversation with Liam the day after he was dismissed. I won’t go into any details of that dialogue, but it was a good conversation. I’m confident he has a top coaching career ahead of him — sometimes things just don’t work out," said McFarlane.
The match between Chelsea and Nottingham Forest will take place on Monday, May 4, at Stamford Bridge, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 CET.
