It has been revealed when France will unveil their new head coach
France failed to reach the FIFA World Cup final for a third consecutive tournament and still have the third-place play-off ahead of them, which will be Didier Deschamps' final match in charge. He is stepping down from the role, with a new coach set to take over.
Details: According to RMC Sport, Zinedine Zidane will be officially unveiled as France's new head coach by the end of next week. His contract has already been prepared, and the agreement is expected to be finalized by 21 July.
It is reported that Zidane will receive a base salary of €300,000 per month, which could rise to €450,000 including performance-related bonuses. His coaching staff could consist of more than 25 members.
As a reminder: Argentina and Spain secured their places in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final after defeating their respective opponents in the semi-finals. It has since been revealed which club will have the largest number of representatives in the showpiece match.
