It has become known which club Xabi Alonso is ready to resume his coaching career for right now

Xabi Alonso recently left Real Madrid following defeat in the Spanish Super Cup final, and it has now emerged which club the coach would be willing to return to for immediately.

Details: According to Marca, Xabi Alonso is currently prepared to take a break from coaching, but if Liverpool approach him, he would be ready to get straight back to work. He has strong affection for the club and would be willing to return without hesitation.

We recently reported that, following the example of Chelsea and Manchester United, Liverpool are expected to change their head coach at the beginning of 2026. The English champions’ hierarchy are dissatisfied with the team’s recent performances and are planning to part ways with Arne Slot.

Reminder: Liverpool are currently fourth in the Premier League table. After 22 rounds, the team have 36 points and are just one and two points clear of fifth and sixth place respectively. In their most recent match, Liverpool played out a 1–1 draw against Burnley.
