Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni has shared crucial updates regarding the health and recovery process of team talisman Lionel Messi ahead of the World Cup kickoff.
Details: According to the 48-year-old manager, the star forward has made tremendous progress on his road back to action. Messi has already started partial training with the main squad, which has come as a huge relief for the entire coaching and medical staff of the Albiceleste.
Due to the seriousness of his injury, it was initially assumed that Messi would miss the upcoming friendlies entirely, but his recovery has exceeded expectations and there is now a real chance the legendary Argentine will feature in these matches.
"Leo is fine, he has already started training partially with the group and is no longer working completely on his own. We'll see if he plays tomorrow or in the next match. He's feeling much better, and that gives us peace of mind," Scaloni stated.
It’s worth recalling that the 38-year-old forward suffered a left Achilles tendon injury in his last match for Inter Miami.
Don't forget, tomorrow, May 7th at 02:00 Central European Time, Argentina will play a friendly against Honduras.
Reminder: Legendary Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas answered the question about which opponent was tougher: Messi or Ronaldo.
