It has become clear whether Inter will keep their main star for next season
The situation surrounding the future of Inter midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu has been clarified: both the player and the club are sticking to their original plans.
Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, both parties have confirmed their intention to continue working together next season. Despite persistent interest from Turkish side Galatasaray, who are eager to bring the player back home, the 32-year-old Milan leader is determined to stay at San Siro.
As the player’s agent exclusively reported last week, Hakan is fully prepared to continue performing for the Nerazzurri. Head coach Cristian Chivu considers the Turkish midfielder an irreplaceable part of his tactical setup and insists on keeping him in the squad.
The issue of extending his current contract, which runs until June 2027, has been put on hold for now. The club and the player have agreed to revisit the discussion about new terms later, choosing to focus on current objectives and the remainder of the season.
It’s worth noting that this season, the Turkish midfielder has played 30 matches for the Milan side across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 7 assists. Transfermarkt values the player at €18 million.
Reminder: Barcelona are ready to sacrifice Héctor Fort to secure a transfer for Alessandro Bastoni.
