England head coach Thomas Tuchel has commented on the loss of his key striker ahead of the friendly against Japan.
Details: Speaking to ITV, the German manager confirmed that Harry Kane picked up an injury at the most unexpected moment.
"It's a minor injury that literally came out of nowhere. Yesterday, he had to leave training after just 15 minutes. There was never any chance he would play, not even today," Tuchel stated.
When asked directly about the seriousness of the Three Lions' top scorer's injury, the coach gave a cautious yet clearly concerned response:
"The injury is serious enough that he can't play tonight. We're waiting for the results of further examination."
England's medical staff are now conducting extensive tests to determine exactly how long their captain will be sidelined.
It's worth noting that Bayern are set to face Real Madrid in the Champions League soon, and the Munich side will face a huge challenge without their talisman.
Reminder: Portuguese defender Raphael Guerreiro will leave Bayern.
