Legendary Norwegian biathlete Johannes Bø has expressed his condolences following the tragic death of Sivert Guttorm Bakken.
Details: On his Instagram, Johannes Bø emphasized the scale of his compatriot's talent and noted that his passing is a heavy blow to the entire biathlon community.
“Sivert, it happened far too soon. One of the greatest talents in the history of Norwegian biathlon… Rest in peace, dear Sivert. We will miss you,” wrote Bø.
Sivert Guttorm Bakken was found dead on December 23 in a hotel room in Italy. His family has already confirmed the news of his passing. The causes of this tragedy have not yet been disclosed.
It is noted that Bakken was planning to make his comeback and was set to compete in the World Cup stages in Oberhof, Germany, from January 8 to 11, 2026. But fate had other plans.
