‘It doesn't change our focus’. Everton's new owners have reassured Roma fans

Today, 23 September, it became known about the completion of the deal on the purchase of English Everton by American businessman Dan Friedkin. But at the same time, he also owns Italian Roma, who now have a lot of playing and not only problems. Wolves fans have already raised concerns that their bosses will now take over the new club, but those have reassured their fans.

Roma's owners have published an appeal to their fans on the Giallorossi's official website, in which they emphasised that Everton's purchase will not benefit Roma either, and the focus on the Roman club will not fade:

‘We remain active investors in the sports industry. We love the beautiful game. The potential addition of Everton to our portfolio does not change our focus on Roma. If anything, the symbiosis of multiple clubs will only help Roma.

Each club in our portfolio operates independently and Roma remains at the centre of our football ambitions. Rest assured, our time, resources and energy that we invest in Roma will not diminish. Our goal is clear - to see Roma constantly competing at the highest level of European football,’ read Friedkin's statement.

It should be recalled that in addition to the dismissal of Daniele De Rossi as head coach, Roma also faced personnel changes in managerial positions. De Rossi's resignation sparked protests from active Giallorossi fans.
