The West Bromwich board has decided not to tolerate the team’s dismal results any longer.

Details: Today, via the club’s official X (Twitter) page, West Bromwich Albion announced that 34-year-old Ryan Mason has been relieved of his duties as head coach.

While no official reason for the dismissal was given, it’s clear that the team’s poor performance was the decisive factor in this decision.

Ryan Mason took charge of West Bromwich in July 2025 and oversaw 27 matches during his tenure, recording 9 wins, 4 draws, and 14 defeats.

Currently, West Bromwich sit in 18th place in the Championship table with 31 points from 26 rounds.

It was also reported that Mason’s assistants, Nigel Gibbs and Sam Pooley, have been dismissed along with him.

James Morrison will serve as interim head coach until a permanent replacement is appointed.

Reminder: West Bromwich are searching for a new coach. Paul Bracewell is among the candidates.
