Issa Diop has made his final decision regarding his international career. With just a few months to go until the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico, the 29-year-old has decided to represent Morocco at international level.
According to sources, Issa Diop has opted to change his sporting nationality and could even be called up by the Morocco manager for the March 2026 international break. Having made 10 Premier League appearances for Fulham this season, Issa Diop could be part of the Atlas Lions squad for the World Cup, which kicks off on 11 June.
Before choosing to represent Morocco, the 29-year-old played for France’s youth teams.
