Details: Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano was approached by a reporter and asked about the verdict in the club's financial case. The Spaniard limited his public response to a single sentence:
"I have nothing to say, thank you."
Soriano then continued on his way and did not respond to any of the reporter's subsequent questions.
The brief exchange comes amid one of the most serious legal episodes in Manchester City's history. An independent commission found the club guilty of serious breaches of Premier League financial rules, as well as three of the four charges concerning failures to cooperate with the investigation.
City continue to deny wrongdoing and are preparing to appeal the findings. The punishment has not yet been determined, meaning the legal process surrounding the club remains far from complete despite the commission's verdict.
It is worth noting that the financial allegations examined in the case covered nine seasons, from 2009/10 through 2017/18. The final sporting and financial consequences will be determined separately after the remaining legal stages of the process.
