Is the deal cancelled? The Brazilian prodigy denied rumors of his move to the European giants

Earlier, there were reports of interest in Corinthians young midfielder, Gabriel Moscardo, from Chelsea and PSG. It was believed that "The Pensioners" had made an offer to the Brazilian club, but the €20 million sum offered was deemed insufficient. Following this, representatives from PSG traveled to Brazil to negotiate the player's signing.

Now, the 18-year-old player himself has addressed the transfer rumors, stating that he currently has no plans to leave Corinthians and wishes to return to the club in January. Speaking to La Gazeta Esportiva, he said:

"There's a lot being said about my future, but I'm very happy wearing this shirt. It's a huge club, and I've been here since I was a child. I leave these rumors to my agent; I live my reality. My reality is that I'll return to Corinthians in January. I'm very excited. I'm young; I like experiencing new things; I want to learn."

Additionally, Foot Mercato reported that PSG has had positive negotiations with the Brazilian giants and reached an agreement. According to this deal, Moscardo would join Ligue 1 champions in January and then immediately return on loan to his former employers until June or December 2024.

PSG's Sporting Director, Luis Campos, also confirmed their negotiations with Corinthians. Journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted Campos as saying, "Of course, we're informed about the best talents worldwide. Nothing has been agreed or signed yet."

Currently, PSG seems to have the edge over Chelsea in the transfer race for the Brazilian, but it remains uncertain whether either club can ultimately meet Corinthians' €40 million valuation. At present, Moscardo is enjoying a well-deserved break after participating in eighteen matches in the Brazilian Serie A this season, where he scored one goal and provided an assist.
