Is still a chance? Borussia CEO commented on the breakdown of the transfer of Guirassy

Borussia Dortmund's CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke commented on the potential collapse of the transfer of Stuttgart forward Serhou Guirassy.

Previously, the 2023/24 Champions League finalists announced that the Guinean forward had arrived for a medical and contract signing, but an unexpected issue arose at the last moment.

“The current situation is that all parties still want the transfer, but of course, we need a reasonable statement about how things stand with the injury. We will check him again,” Watzke told BILD.

It was expected that Guirassy would sign a contract with Borussia Dortmund until the summer of 2028 today. Stuttgart is set to receive €17.5 million for his transfer.

Last season, Guirassy was the second top scorer in the Bundesliga. He managed to score 28 goals in 28 matches, and Stuttgart sensationally finished in second place.
