The first match will be played on June 6 in College Station, Texas, where Lionel Scaloni’s squad will face Honduras at Kyle Field. This clash marks a crucial stage in the Albiceleste’s preparations as they set out to defend their World Cup crown.
The second tune-up is set for June 9 and promises to be a historic event for the state of Alabama. Argentina will head to Auburn, where they’ll take on Iceland at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Organizers highlight the uniqueness of the occasion: football will take center stage in venues traditionally reserved for American football. For Iceland, it’s a chance to challenge Messi and company once more, just as they did at the 2018 World Cup.
It’s worth noting that in the World Cup group stage, Scaloni’s men will go up against Algeria, Austria, and Jordan.
